Terms of service

What you are agreeing to when we come out — including the parts most fitters leave off the website.

These terms

These are the terms you agree to when you have work done by Roadline Mobile Tyres Ltd, company number 10884203, Depot 6, Gladstone Road, Northampton, NN5 5HE.

Quotes and prices

A price we give you for a tyre is the fitted price. It includes the tyre, fitting, balancing, a new valve and taking the old tyre away. Nothing is added at the kerb.

If we arrive and the job turns out to be different from the one described — a seized or rounded wheel nut, a buckled rim, a tyre that has been run flat and destroyed — we will tell you the revised figure and wait for you to agree before doing anything.

Bookings and cancellations

We give you a two-hour window rather than a time. Cancel or move it with more than two hours’ notice and there is no charge.

If we arrive within the agreed window and the vehicle is not there, is locked with no key available, or cannot be worked on, we may charge a £30 abortive visit fee. We will always try to reach you first.

If we are going to miss the window, we ring. Delays happen in this trade and we would rather tell you than leave you waiting in.

Where we can work

We need a firm, reasonably level surface and about a metre of clearance on the side we are working. A driveway, a work car park or a quiet residential kerb are all fine.

You are responsible for making sure we are allowed to work at the address — a private car park, a managed estate or an employer’s site may have its own rules, and we cannot know them.

What we will not do

  • Work on a vehicle in live traffic or on a motorway hard shoulder. Get behind a barrier and call recovery; we will fit the tyre once the vehicle is somewhere safe.
  • Repair a sidewall, a shoulder puncture, or any tyre that has been driven flat. These cannot be made safe.
  • Fit or supply part-worn tyres. The history is unknown and the damage that matters is inside the casing.
  • Fit a tyre below the load or speed rating the vehicle plate calls for, even if you ask us to.

Workmanship and tyre faults

Our work: if a wheel we fitted comes loose, leaks at the valve or is out of balance because of something we did, ring us and we will come back and put it right at no charge. That is our responsibility and there is no time limit on it being our fault.

The tyre itself: manufacturing defects are covered by the tyre maker’s own warranty, and we will handle the claim for you. What is not covered by anybody is damage — a puncture, a kerbed sidewall or a pothole impact is wear and tear, not a fault.

A repair we carry out is guaranteed for the remaining life of the tyre. If it leaks again from the same repair, we replace the tyre and credit what you paid for the repair.

Your old tyres

We take them and they are recycled through a licensed waste carrier. It is included in the price and it is not optional — leaving used tyres with a customer is how they end up fly-tipped, and the duty of care sits with us.

If you want to keep a tyre, say so and we will leave it with you.

Payment

Payment is due on completion, by card or bank transfer at the kerb. There is no deposit and nothing is taken before the work is done. Fleet and trade accounts are invoiced monthly on agreed terms, and late payment may carry interest under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

Our liability

Where we damage your vehicle or your property through our own negligence, that is our responsibility and it is insured. Tell us before we leave if you can — it is far easier to establish while the van is still there.

We do not accept liability for damage arising from a pre-existing condition we identified and flagged before starting, for corroded or previously over-torqued wheel studs that fail on removal, or for loss that was not reasonably foreseeable. Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Your consumer rights

Nothing here removes your legal rights. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 a service must be carried out with reasonable care and skill, within a reasonable time, and for a reasonable price where none was agreed. Goods must be of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose. If something falls short you are entitled to have it put right.

Complaints and governing law

Speak to whoever did the work first — most things are sorted on the spot. If not, put it in writing to the address above and we will respond within 14 days. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
