Mobile fitting has a reputation problem, and it is earned. These are the four things we turn down, and the reasons.
- Sell you a tyre when the puncture is repairable. If it is in the tread and under 6mm, it gets a proper plug-and-patch for £35.
- Fit a single tyre to one side of a driven axle. Mismatched grip across an axle is a handling problem, and on all-wheel drive it damages the diff.
- Quote one price and charge another. Fitting, balancing, the valve and disposal are in the number we give you.
- Work on a vehicle that is not safe to jack. If it is on a slope or in live traffic, we move it or we recover it first.
