The question we ask before the size
Where is the vehicle, and is it safe. Everything else waits for that answer, because there is no version of this job worth doing on a live carriageway.
If you are on a motorway or a fast road, get behind the barrier and ring recovery. We will fit the tyre once the vehicle is somewhere we can work, and we will say the same thing however urgent it feels.
What the call-out fee is for
It is the cost of dropping planned work. Somebody who booked a slot gets pushed back so you can be reached, and that is what the £75 covers — not the tyre, and not the fitting.
It is also why we will tell you when you do not need it. A flat on a driveway at four in the afternoon is not an emergency, and booking normally tomorrow morning saves you seventy-five pounds.
What we can usually fix on the spot
A blowout with a serviceable rim, a puncture too far gone to repair, a locking nut with no key, and a spare that will not come out of its cradle.
What we cannot fix is a damaged wheel or suspension damage from the impact. If that is what we find, we will tell you straight and the vehicle needs recovering rather than fitting.

Somebody else's slot shifts so we can get to you. That is what the call-out fee pays for.
Fix or advise
If it is fixable at the roadside we fix it. If the wheel is damaged we tell you it needs recovering.

What is on the van for your size?
The three numbers off your sidewall, or your registration. You will see everything we carry in that fitment, fitted price included, and the next window we can get to you.
Every price is fitted at your address, balanced, with the old tyre taken away and the valve replaced. Nothing is added at the van.
Emergency call-out questions
How fast is fast?
We aim for ninety minutes and usually beat it. If we cannot reach you in a sensible time we will say so rather than take the booking.
Will you come to a motorway?
Only where the vehicle is fully off the carriageway and behind a barrier. Otherwise ring recovery first — we will fit the tyre once it is somewhere safe.
Do I pay the call-out fee if you cannot fix it?
Yes, because we still dropped other work to get to you. What we will not do is charge it when we told you on the phone it was not worth calling us out for.
Is it more expensive at night or on a Sunday?
No. The call-out fee is the same whenever you ring within our hours.
What if the wheel is damaged too?
We will tell you. A new tyre on a buckled rim just deflates again, and at that point the vehicle wants recovering rather than fitting.
Can I just book normally instead?
Often yes, and we will say so. A flat on your own driveway is rarely an emergency and booking tomorrow saves you the fee.
