A proper plug-and-patch from the inside, not a string pushed into the tread from the outside. Thirty minutes, and it is the job we would rather do than sell you a tyre.
Send the size or the registration and we come back with the fitted price.
No obligation. We price it before anything is touched.
The wheel comes off, the tyre comes off the rim, and the damage is inspected from the inside — which is the only place you can see what actually happened. The hole is reamed, a combined plug-and-patch is fitted from inside, and the wheel is rebalanced before it goes back on.
What it is not is a string forced into the tread from the outside with the tyre still on the vehicle. That takes four minutes, cannot be inspected, and is not a permanent repair by any standard the industry recognises.
In the tread, not the shoulder or sidewall. Under 6mm across. And the tyre has not been driven flat.
All three have to be true. If any one fails, the tyre is not safely repairable and we will tell you before we start rather than after we have taken your money.
A repair is £35 and a tyre is anywhere from £58 to £184. On the face of it we make more money replacing it, which is exactly why this section exists.
The arithmetic that matters is longer than one job. A customer we could have overcharged and did not tends to ring us for the other three, and for the van, and tells the neighbour.
The only way to see what the damage actually did. Outside-in assessment is guesswork.
The hole is reamed and sealed from the inside. A plug alone or a patch alone is half a job.
A repair adds weight. Skipping the rebalance is why some repairs feel wrong afterwards.
Every figure includes fitting, balancing, a new valve and taking the old tyre away.

Your size not listed? It is almost certainly on the van. Send it and we will price it.
The three numbers off your sidewall, or your registration. You will see everything we carry in that fitment, fitted price included, and the next window we can get to you.
Every price is fitted at your address, balanced, with the old tyre taken away and the valve replaced. Nothing is added at the van.
Three rules: in the tread, under 6mm, and not driven flat. Send a photo and we can usually tell you before we set off.
For the remaining life of the tyre, yes, when it is done properly from the inside. It is a recognised permanent repair, not a get-you-home fix.
We tell you before we start. If you want a tyre we fit one; if you would rather think about it, there is no charge for looking.
Sometimes, and more cautiously. A run-flat that has actually been run flat is finished, and the whole point of them is that you may not have noticed.
Because it flexes constantly and it is the structural part of the tyre. A patch there fails, and it fails suddenly rather than gradually.
If the same repair leaks again we replace the tyre and credit what you paid for the repair. It does not cover a new puncture somewhere else.
Tell us the size and the postcode. We will give you the fitted price on the phone and a window, and the van does the rest.
